The silly season may ‘officially’ be over, but this time of year is prime time for things like accidents, crime and adverse weather and fire conditions.
With this in mind, the Town invites the community to join us 1-4pm in John Macmillan Park on the 17 January for Community Safety Day.
Ever wanted to get an up-close look at a Police car or ambulance, or meet our SES heroes face-to-face?
Keen to know how we’re endeavouring to keep our green spaces safe this summer?
Perhaps you’ve got water safety on your mind now that the family is spending more time around the pool, and could do with some advice or training from Royal Lifesaving? Or maybe you’re interested in Town support to burglar-proof your home?
There’ll be all that and more at the park, as well as kids activities with Constable Care, kid safe, West Coast Eagles and facepainting and bubbles activations, to name just a few.
We’ll also have a free bike maintenance clinic with Dave the Bike Mechanic, a performance from the WAPOL pipe band and free coffee and a sausage sizzle!
See you Friday for an afternoon of informative fun!
