National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

In 2024, NRW is celebrated from 27 May - 3 June, and the theme is Now More Than Ever.

The Town is involved in activities leading up to, during, and after the official celebration dates. During this time, you may see banners and signage around the Town with artwork from Indigenous artists Darryl Bellotti and Roni Gray Forrest. 

We are also conducting training which will empower Town staff to deliver authentic and heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country statements before meetings and events.
