We dig planting, and we want your help to create a happier, healthier and greener Town.
Each year, the Town runs community planting days as part of the Urban Forest Strategy. Taking place during our planting season, which runs from June to September, we tackle local locations with our planting schedule and invite community members to join us in investing in our future urban forest canopy and understorey.
Our 2024 planting season includes two FREE community planting days, one in St James and one in Bentley.
Get your gardening gear ready — we've got forest to grow!

Street Trees
Keen to embrace our urban forest and request a street tree this planting season?
Each year, our Leafy Streets program runs during planting season (June to September), where we identify verges for planting and give residents a choice of tree to add to their verge.
We also welcome resident-led interest in having a verge tree planted and will consider requests on a case-by-case basis.
Street tree planting requests can be made all year around, with the cut-off date at the end of February for tree planting in the same year. Requests made after February will be included in the following planting season.
