Q&A with Western Australian Poet Lisa Collyer | Vic Park Writers' Festival
Thursday 17th April 2025
You're invited!
As part of the Town of Victoria Park's Arts Season, please join Mimma Tornatora for a Q&A with Western Australian Poet, Lisa Collyer.
Lisa, a local author, has written two poetry collections, 'How To Order Eggs Sunny Side Up' and 'Gold-digger', and has been short listed for the Dorothy Hewett Award and recently won the artist residence at Bundanon Art Museum.
Join Lisa as she performs some of her most uncomfortable poems. There aren’t many social spaces to speak to the unease of human existence, except in poetry. Hear her poetic process and practice behind documenting the disquiet. You’ll laugh and cry at the messiness of flesh and feeling.
We look forward to an evening discovering more about Lisa and her works.
Lisa's interviewer, Mimma Tornatora, is a local poet, author, teacher, facilitator, co-editor of 2023 Collectanae Anthology and winner of the 2024 and 2025 Victoria Park Arts Grant.
Bookings are essential and can be made online, in person or over the phone.
