Past, Present, Future

Sunday 6th April 2025

Listen to Aboriginal Artist Brett Nannup and Mark Parfitt talk about the mural artwork Past, Present, Future.

The mural features Nannup’s intricately carved line drawings over Parfitt’s signwriting. The piece reveals private thoughts of place in a public way, in particular, Carlisle, which is situated on Aboriginal land known as Beeloo Country.

Beeloo Country, or Carlisle, is a place that sustains the spirituality, kinship and life of the Noongar People for thousands of years before it was understood as a suburb.

The mural will be on display for during the month of April.

This event is part of the Town of Victoria Park's 2025 Arts Season.
