Volunteer Management Workshop | Success Series

Wednesday 11th September 2024

Volunteering is a wonderful way to commit to meaningful action by helping others, while also improving your own mental health and well-being.

We recognise the vital role that volunteers play in community groups and not-for-profit organisations, however we also understand the challenges in finding and retaining these invaluable individuals. That’s why we're offering this workshop to help organisations and groups recruit, retain, and recognise their volunteers.

By using effective, evidence-based strategies, you can enhance volunteer experiences and ensure the sustainability of your programs.

Our speakers:

  • Jason Belcher, Paramedic and Resuscitation Improvement Specialist at St John WA, will be presenting on the importance of first-aid qualified volunteers.
  • Alecia Hancock, a renowned marketing strategist, will present strategies for recruiting volunteers through social media platforms.
  • Rodney Glossop, a parkrun Ambassador, will share his personal experiences and highlight the Volunteer Toolkit for recruiting, retaining, and recognising volunteers.
  • Maryann Tsai, one of the winners of the Volunteer Award and owner of Reach Her, will share her testimony and experiences as a volunteer and non-for-profit organisation owner.

Parking: Staff parking will be available for use behind the building (entry off Shepperton Road)
Arrival time: 5.30pm (for a 6pm start)

Light refreshments will be provided.
