The 44th Australian Infantry Battalion Memorial

Wednesday 13th November 2024

The 44th Australian Infantry Battalion Memorial is a group dedicated to keeping the stories of the soldiers of the 44th Battalion alive. This battalion was raised in Western Australia in 1916 and fought in 15 battles on the Western Front. 2,101 men served, with 437 men paying the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of our nation.

We invite you to select a soldier and personally record their story, ensuring that their memory is never forgotten. With just 1-3 hours of your time, you can adopt a soldier’s legacy, uncover their story, and contribute to our collective remembrance effort. Together, we can ensure that the sacrifices of these brave men are honoured and remembered for generations to come. Help us in preserving our history and honouring our heroes!

No booking required- drop by any time between 1-4pm.
