PSHB Training and Info Sessions

Monday 11th November 2024
(Multiple Dates Between Monday 11th November 2024 & Wednesday 20th November 2024)

The Polyphagous Shothole Borer (PSHB) has been impacting trees across the Perth metro area, with devastating consequences. What can you do to identify infected trees and help minimise the spread?

Join us for a community training session facilitated by staff from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, to get the latest information about identification and containment of the PSHB threat.

The session aims to:

  • Increase general knowledge of PSHB, including biology and susceptible host species
  • Highlight key symptoms of PSHB to assist with detection
  • Outline restrictions on the movement or transport of wood/timber, living plants and wood machinery, as per the Quarantine Area Notice
  • Update community members on the response to the pest and its effectiveness to date.

For more information, please contact Gemma Pepper, Urban Forest Events and Education Officer on 08 9311 8111.
