Funding and Fundraising Workshop | Club Connect

The Town of Victoria Park proudly presents Club Connect, a new workshop series designed specifically for local sporting clubs and groups in the Town.
Club Connect will provide, through a series of engaging and interactive workshops, the tools, resources, and connections your sporting organisation needs to thrive in today’s evolving landscape.
Acquiring adequate funding as a sports club for new infrastructure, sporting equipment or community events can be a challenge when time is limited. Our free Funding and Fundraising Workshop will explore key ways sporting clubs can effectively fundraise.
This hybrid (online and in-person) workshop will also cover current key funding opportunities, and how the Town of Victoria Park can help with local government grant opportunities.
Our speakers:
- Jack Connell from the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) will share the work that ASF does in helping clubs raise much-needed funds through their unique fundraising platform. Jack will elaborate on how and what clubs can fundraise for, how to create a good fundraising story, and how to get started.
- Mark Toomath and James Pervan from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries will talk through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund, Club Night Lights Program, and other funding opportunities available for sporting clubs.
- Judy Toll, Grants and Donations Officer at the Town of Victoria Park will discuss how the Town can assist sporting clubs with grant opportunities including Sports Equipment Grants, and some top tips for applicants.
Parking: Staff parking will be available for use behind the building (entry off Shepperton Road)
Arrival time: 5.45pm (for a 6pm start)
Light refreshments will be provided.
