The Town has received a development application for patio addition to the rear of the house at the abovementioned property.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

  • Boundary Setbacks – State Planning Policy 7.3 Residential Design Codes Volume 2 (R-Codes) prescribes the minimum setback distance of buildings from boundaries other than the street. The application proposes a setback of 0.7 metres between the patio posts and the south-eastern (rear) lot boundary, in lieu of a standard minimum setback of 1.0 metre.

Please note that the above matter will be considered based on the merits of the case, and with regard to the relevant design principles of the R-Codes and any comments received from nearby affected landowner(s) and occupier(s).
