The Town has received a development application for the addition of a Residential Building (Short-term Accommodation) to a Grouped Dwelling at the above-mentioned property.

 

In addition to the above the application proposes works that result in a lot boundary setback variation

 

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

 

  • Proposed Use - A Residential Building (Short-stay accommodation) is classified as an “AA” (discretionary use) within the Residential zone under Town Planning Scheme No. 1.

 

  • Boundary Setbacks – The Residential Design Codes prescribes the minimum setback distance of buildings from boundaries other than the street. The application proposes variations to the setback of the following walls:

    • Patio posts setback from the northwest lot boundary 0m in lieu of 1m.
