The Town has received a development application for Two Grouped Dwellings at the above-mentioned property. One dwelling is proposed to take vehicular access from Mars Street while the other is proposed to take vehicular access from the Right-of-way at the rear of the lot.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, you are invited to comment on the following:

  • Street Setback to lot boundary wall – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape requires a minimum street setback of 6.0 metres from Mars Street to any proposed lot boundary wall. The application proposes a lot boundary wall with a setback to Mars Street of 5.46 metres.
  • Boundary Setbacks – The Residential Design Codes prescribes the minimum setback distance of buildings from boundaries other than the street. The application proposes variations to the setback of the following walls:
    • Ground Floor wall from Alfresco to Ensuite 1 of Unit 1 - 1.5 metres required; 1.15 metre proposed to north western boundary.
    • Ground Floor wall to Bedroom 2 to Bathroom wall of Unit 2 - 1.5 metres required; 1 metre proposed to south eastern boundary.
