The Town has received an application for development approval proposing the construction of a three storey multiple dwellings development (apartment block) at the abovementioned property, comprising:

  • 18 independent living aged persons dwellings, including four units on the ground floor and seven units on each of the first and second floors;
  • 18 car parking bays for residents (one per dwelling), including one accessible (disabled) parking space and associated shared space, on the ground level;
  • communal open space around the pedestrian entries facing Grandis Boulevard and Talbot Place and rear (south-eastern) side of the building; and
  • extension of a communal street (private road) Grandis Boulevard through to the public road Adie Court, and construction of four visitor car parking embayments on the northern side of the extended road.

 

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – ‘Community Consultation on Planning Proposals’ the development is classed as a Significant Application and a Complex Application.  Subsequently, the Town of Victoria Park is inviting you to provide comments on the proposal.
