What makes you, you? Exploring Identity through collage

Saturday 24th August 2024

We’re all complex beings made up of a bunch of different interests, identities and actions, but what words do you use to describe yourself? Whether you feel like you’re made up of a rich tapestry of experiences, or sometimes like a bit of a hot mess, it can be helpful to reflect on who we are, how we express ourselves and connect with others.
In this workshop, you'll channel some of that beautiful complexity (or chaotic energy) into a collage that speaks to who you are. We’ll explore the importance (as well as the limitations) of language and get you thinking about the words we use to describe and identify ourselves. From diverse identities to the fluidity and progress of queer communities, join us to showcase who you are and celebrate what makes us remarkable individuals.
Advocacy & Arts is a series of workshops designed for LGBTQIA+ youth aged 16-25 and their allies!
