Town of Victoria Park Programs

The Library hosts a range of activities for children and young people from Rhymetime and Storytime for babies and pre-schoolers, special Noongar Storytime sessions, anime clubs for teens and school holiday activities.

Leisurelife offers a range of fun, interactive and educational programs for children aged five to 14 years. Programs include junior sporting competitions, junior coaching and school holiday programs. The centre also hosts external groups who run programs designed for pre-kindy aged children.

Aqualife is the Town of Victoria Park’s aquatic centre. For young children, the Leisure Pool is a perfect area for kids to splash and have fun with their parents and carers. Additionally, Aqualife provides swimming lessons for children from 6 months of age and a youth swimming program for young people aged 13 to 18 years.

Community Programs

Junior sporting clubs operate across the Town of Victoria Park in various parks and reserves. Junior sporting clubs in the Town of Victoria Park include cricket, soccer, AFL, hockey, rugby union, basketball, squash, gymnastics, baseball and little athletics. Community centres operated by not-for-profit organisations in the Town of Victoria Park offer a range of services and programs for children and families and include Vic Park Community Centre and Vic Park Centre for the Arts. Kensington Police and Community Youth Centre (PCYC) offers a range of programs and activities for children and families, including gymnastics and an OHSC facility providing before school, afterschool and Vacation Care programs. With a focus on engaging and supporting young people and youth at risk in the community Kensington Institute of training provide their Automotive Cert 1 courses at the Centre. They also work closely with government agencies and the WA Police force to provide a voice for young people and build a safer community.
