My Life My Place

The Town of Victoria Park is hosting a free community launch of the My Life, My Place 2015 initiative at McDonald’s Community Cinemas, Burswood Parklands from 6.30pm on Wednesday, 2 December.

For the past two years the Town of Victoria Park has profiled and shared the unique and incredible stories of local residents of all abilities, who contribute to the rich fabric of our local community - and is undertaking the project again in 2015.

At the 2015 launch of My Life, My Place both new and familiar faces will be featured in eight short films profiling their stories, captured by photographer and videographer Andy McGregor.

The free community launch also includes family entertainment:

Live music by Matt Waring

TGIF Hawkers Markets - lots of food stalls available to purchase a bite to eat.

Children's entertainment including face-painting and bubbles

The My Life, My Place 2015 portraits and stories will be posted around the Town following the launch. The short film and images will also be available for viewing on the Town’s website.

6.30pm - Gates open where you will be greeted with live music from Matt Waring, TGIF Hawker food vendors, Princess Elsa, Spiderman, face painting and a craft table
7.30pm - Speeches
7.45pm - Screening of My Life, My Place
8.30pm - Event ends
