Active Life

Is the gym or pool not your scene? But you know physical activity and wellbeing is important. Maybe one of our active life programs will appeal to you. The Town is now providing opportunities for the non-traditional workout enthusiast. Get up, get out... get active!

walking groups

Looking for an activity with fresh air and beautiful landscapes while enjoying the companionship of other like-minded people? Then one of our walking groups may be perfect for you! In partnership with the Heart Foundation, the Town is offering the following weekly walking groups:

Tuesdays: 8.30am Kensington Bushland (meeting by the club room at Harold Rossiter Park)

Wednesdays: 8:30am and 9.30am Mothers' Walking Group (starting at the Antz inya Pantz, 965 Albany Highway, Victoria Park)

Juniper Senior Walking Groups

Wednesdays: 8:00am Bentley Park Village (meet at SwanCare Adminstration Centre, Corner of Plantation Drive and Stirling Close, Bentley)

Fridays: 7:30am Juniper Rowethorpe Village (meet at the Terrance Cafe on The Boulevard, Bentley)

The Healthy Families Program will include a range of activities, but most importantly will provide an encouraging network of mums and dads with similar interests and obstacles.


This interactive program is designed specifically for optimal postnatal fitness. Sessions will include low-impact pram cardio, pelvic floor exercises and practical resistance training. The program can be catered to each individual’s needs and fitness levels.

You will love the way it makes you feel and will be excited to see improvements each week. Best of all, you can exercise with your bub!

Family fitness PROGRAM

This program is specifically designed for toddlers (15mo - 3 years) along with mum or dad. It is an interactive program for both the toddlers and their parent to exercise together. Sessions will include pram cardio, practical resistamce training, obstacle courses and much more. The program can be catered to each individual's needs and fitness levels.

Weekly vic park running group

Have you wanted to get into running and just don’t know where to start? This weekly program may be perfect for you! We go at the pace of the participants and can adjust the program for all levels.

Activation Days

Skate Scoot Bike at the Bowl

Hosted by pro skate and BMX group Freestyle Now, this BMX, Skate and Scooter coaching workshop aims to help participants gain new skills, improve confidence, understand skate park etiquette, plus have a stack of fun!

Open to everyone from beginners to experts. No need to sign up, just turn up on the day with your board, bike or scooter and helmet. Stay for as long or as little as you like.

Pop-up Fitness in the Park

Get active and try out a group fitness class for free in the beautiful outdoors. BYO water bottle and towel.

Come along to make and fly a kite. Free kite making for the first 100 people.

living longer living stronger 

Living Longer Living Stronger is an evidence based strength training and exercise program designed specifically for the over 50's.

It aims to achieve a reduction in falls, improved health, quality of life and fitness in people aged over 50 years.

Weekly Group session at Leisurelife:    Thursday from 9.30am – 10.30am
Individual sessions at Leisurelife:          Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am – 12noon.

COST Initial Assessment: $55.00, Individual Session: $8.00, 10 Session Pass + 1 free: $80

Glen Cardwell Seminar 'new life resolutions'

Find out why New Year's resolutions rarely work. We don't need New Year resolutions; we need New Life resolutions. Learn 10 strategies towards a new body shape. These strategies are employed by people who successfully lose body fat for at least two years.

Glen Cardwell is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with 37 years' experience in the industry. He is an award winning professional speaker and was the sports nutrition advisor to the West Coast Eagles for 14 years.

mediterranean cooking class 

A traditional Mediterranean Diet has been shown to have numerous health benefits and play a role in the prevention of many chronic diseases. Come along and hear about the key components to this approach and learn to cook some delicious Mediterranean cuisine with Arte Paella, Spanish cooking school.

mental health programs

brain training workshop 

Does your brain need a little challenging? This brain training workshop will cover brain health, improving concentration and memory, plus tips and tricks to maintain a healthy brain. There will be fun challenges including brain teasers, problem solving and brain training games on a tablet. This workshop will be delivered in partnership with Juniper Day Therapy Centre Outreach and Wellness Program.
