The Victoria Park Arts Season (Arts Season) is in its second year and proposed to be facilitated across the Victoria Park region during April 2017.

The objective of the Victoria Park Arts Season is to foster a Vibrant Lifestyle through ‘A love of the arts’.

The Town is interested in receiving your great project ideas and has allocated a pool of $20,000 available to distribute in support of projects that contribute to the Victoria Park Arts Season program. The Town will provide a number of small grants (up to $5,000) for approved projects delivered by community groups, not-for-profit organisations, businesses and individuals.

Why are we having aN ArtS Season?

The Victoria Park Arts Season will aim to create a vibrant Town full of social interaction, creativity and vitality. The Arts Season will aim to connect people, resources and facilities that showcase the creativity of our Town.

Why are we having a grants program?

The distribution of small grants (up to $5,000) is aimed to encourage a new outlet to express the strength of the arts in the community. Through proposing innovative collaborations with arts groups and individuals you can access a small grant to support your idea and contribute to the Victoria Park Arts Season program. These small grants may also provide access and awareness to existing arts and cultural activity throughout the Town of Victoria Park.

What types of things will be funded?

A selection panel will allocate funding to proposed projects that showcase a diverse range of arts in the Town.

These can be initiatives in the fields such as:

  • comedy
  • music
  • performing arts
  • visual arts
  • literary arts
  • fashion
  • other creative activities.
